Our GOAL in the 2011/2012 school year is to raise a total of $300,000. To date, the Foundation’s support of the technology Initiative started in 2005 has resulted in a dramatic improvement in our children’s academic performance, as measured on an individual and school-wide basis. Our “Academic Performance Index”, or API, has increased from 828 in 2005, to 903 in 2011. (API scores range from 200 to 1,000 — our District’s overall API score in 2011 was 830.) The significant increase in API performance reflects the hard work of our kids, the parents, and the teachers/staff at the school. It also reflects, we believe, the tools provided by the Foundation to the kids, parents and teachers, to learn.
